    It could be said that Simply Delicious Owner Tricia Woodman comes by her gourmet guru status naturally. After all, as daughter of Corky’s founder Don Pelts, the “business,” as they say, “is in her blood.” Growing up in the restaurant world undoubtedly gave Tricia a unique, insider’s view of the inner workings of the industry, from the process of perfecting the food itself to the importance of the stellar service that earned Corky’s its iron-clad reputation.

    However, combine Tricia’s family history with her doctorate in Education/Counseling and her intuitive way of connecting with her catering clientele, and you’ve got a force to be reckoned with. Possessing the rare ability to read a person’s character and personality, she can tap into a client’s vision for their event without having to overwhelm them with endless lists of questions. Every Simply Delicious Caterings event embodies the culmination of her valuable experience in the industry, her creative edge and the family-like vendor relationships she has cultivated over the years.

    Tricia carefully selected a team of professionals who share her meticulous attention to detail and her dedication to carrying out her Dad’s philosophy of taking an event from “good to great,” no matter what it takes. Tricia’s talent hasn’t gone unnoticed – in fact, in less than three years, Simply Delicious Caterings has become the go-to caterer in the Memphis area, changing the culinary landscape one recipe at a time. When it comes to her most discerning clientele – her teenaged son and daughter – Tricia is known as “Mom,” but to an infinite number of Corky’s devotees, she is clearly her father’s daughter.

    The title of General Manager can encompass an ever- changing list of responsibilities and roles…and at Simply Delicious, Yolanda Grace not only expects the change, she thrives on it.

    Coming from a restaurant background, Yolanda sought an environment filled with challenges and opportunities that were different every day. She found exactly that (and more) in the catering world. A veteran of events-focused companies such as The Tower and Owen Brennan, where she was Private Dining Coordinator, Yolanda was also a Training Manager for Starbucks, where she raised the bar for baristas and perfected her now-famous name and face recognition skills. (Seriously, ask her the name of any prospective client she’s met in her past year at SDC and she’s got not only a name for you but the event date and color story as well.)

    For Yolanda, name recognition isn’t a sales gimmick, rather; it’s a sign of the relationship that she builds with each client – a relationship that drives her to handle every event, whether it’s a corporate breakfast or a grand-scale wedding, as if it is the most important gathering on the planet.

    Not surprisingly, Yolanda Grace is a huge fan of weddings and the depth of client interaction it requires, from getting to know the couple and their unique story, style and personalities throughout the planning process to seeing the photos afterwards. A natural follower of the Simply Delicious mission to bestow every event with extreme attention to detail and anticipate problems and issues before they occur, Yolanda is not easily scared off by the size of a huge event. To the contrary, she sees the bigger events as opportunities to impact a greater number of people with nearly the same amount of work as the smaller ones.

    A native of San Diego, Yolanda Grace has been a Memphian for more than 20 years, but it’s perhaps more accurate to say that Simply Delicious is her true home. And upon entering this home, expect to follow the house rules:  Make it work!

    And…Make it beautiful!

    Larry started working for Corky's BBQ the year he married his beautiful wife, Teresa Barnes. He put his foot in the door August of 2000, and has now been a part of this expanding company for sixteen years. 

    Larry was brought on at Corky's as the pit master and was shown the ropes by Robert Moye. Twelve years passed by and he didn't have a thought in the world about leaving. When Simply Delicious opened in 2012, he was given a new opportunity as an event coordinator of sorts. His work ethic hadn't gone unnoticed. New opportunity had risen. Four years have passed, and he's still excited to get up and go to work. 

    Larry brings an outstanding dependability to our team. He's the first person people call. This is his expertise. Our team depends on him to make sure that each event has every piece of equipment they need. It is his job to make others' jobs easier. If there is a problem, there is a good chance he can fix it. His motto is "It is what it is" because a lot can go wrong with an event; it just depends on how you handle the situation at hand. In the heat of the moment people get frantic and look to Larry for guidance. He is the provider of reassurance and we wouldn't have it any other way. 

    Larry loves the rush of adrenaline he gets when we are busy. He lives for the excitement and satisfaction of our clients. He has said, "When an idea comes to life before your eyes, it's something else. This company has become my family; I look forward to the years ahead."

    Currie came to Simply Delicious with over twenty years of management and customer service experience. His position as a Senior Service Manager for a well-established corporate, full-service Italian restaurant led to positions as General Manager and Corporate Liaison. 

    He came to work for Simply Delicious in order to get a break from the  corporate world and to make difference on a more basic level.  After meeting the team at SDC and being inspired by the passion that everyone had for the company, he wanted to cement his feet within the SDC family. And he has!

    After working hard as the event manager for more than a year and now taking a role on the sales team, Currie adores being a part of everything at SDC. He loves all of the details and one-on-one connections that are made with and appreciated by our clients. Every day Currie walks into work with a smile on his face as he helps someone create a specific and special day in their lives that they will remember forever.

    Rebecca is a devoted mother to one amazing little boy. She first developed a passion for cooking watching her grandmother and cooking shows in the early 90’s.  As a child she would create mud pies inspired by what she watched on the cooking shows.  She got herself in lots of trouble with her mother by using her cookware and  flowers for herbs, garnish and seasonings for her mud pies.  

    She graduated with honors from LeCole’ Culinaire while working at Simply Delicious and shortly after worked her way up to Pastry Chef and that’s only the half of it.  She has brilliantly led events and helped manage the kitchen as well. All of which has helped prepare her for her latest position as the Kitchen Manager. Now she oversees event chefs and makes sure we are putting out the best food from our kitchen and making sure the events are successful in every aspect. 

    Rebecca came to work for Simply Delicious to assist for a party for the Fed Ex St. Jude Classic.  It was perfect for her as she has dreamed of having her own or running a successful catering company.

    She has experience in every position in this catering company which makes her an invaluable asset to Simply Delicious.  From kitchen, serving, bartending, design set up, and administration, Rebecca is able to navigate in several different areas of this company.

    Most of all, she loves having a helping hand in making our events successful.  She believes the best moment is when you have successfully prepped and set up for an event and the guests are in love with what you have created for them.

    Gracie was born and raised in Memphis, attending Evangelical Christian School and then Ole Miss, graduating with a Marketing Degree. She has always been the unofficial event planner of her family and in her group of friends; gathering people for special occasions and celebrating with them is the best!

    Gracie came to work with Simply Delicious for the love of the team! Simply does more than just bring the food to an event; they create a total expereience that is specific to each clients wants, needs and expectations. Incredible food, five star events and intricate detailed planning ... it was a perfect fit for Gracie, whose organization skills, attention and love of small details (what she calls "pretties") have created a burgeoning love the implenting the repeat processes that make events go off without a hitch. 

    Gracie loves the people she works with and the people she gets to meet in this industry. She loves the team aspect of Simply and how everyone wants to be the best and grow together to be the best we can! She loves helping other celebrate and loves helping them have fun with their loved ones. 

    On any given day you can find Gracie trying to stay as organized as possible and communicate clearly to everyone involved on her events so everyone knows where to be and when. She makes things as efficient and easy as possible for the team and for the client!

    Even though Ashley was not born in Memphis, Memphis is truly her home at heart. After living in Nashville for a little over three years, she and her husband moved to Memphis (back home for her) in March of 2014, to be near family and in the city! Married for a few years now, Ashley and her husband are expecting their first child soon. 

    Ashley has been in the restaurant business - from serving to bartending and even management - since graduating high school in 2002. After pursuing the medical field for a time, she realized that the restaurant business is where her heart truly is and that's when she found SDC! 

    Interviewing with Tricia at Simply Delicious was pretty much love at first sight. The energy and passion for the catering business was exactly what Ashley wanted to be a part of! 

    Ashley is incredibly detail-oriented and loves working on the tedious aspects of things. She is always ready and willing to use her skills to dot the i's and cross the t's at every event we plan.  

    With each event, everything is different, and what we do is truly making our clients and their guests happy regardless of the occasion. Ashley does a lot of the "behind the scenes" planning with each event. Trying to integrate each detail, together with sales person, chef and all the many people it takes to execute the event from the initial inquiry to the time the event ends. It's all about making sure our clients are truly happy with their entire Simply experience.

    Kristin was originally born in Dayton, Ohio, but her family moved to Memphis when she was young.  After graduating high school, Kristin attended Xavier University, in Cincinnati, OH where she obtained a degree in Marketing.  Kristin built a 15 year career in Risk Management, but was always curious about a career in the catering industry.  In April of 2016 she joined Simply Delicious as a part of the sales team.

    Kristin has always had a passion for fine dining, entertaining, cooking, decorating her dining table, and event planning.  She now gets to put her passion for those things to work and make a career out of it!  She has a strong knowledge of food and brings a maturity & professionalism to the Simply Delicious team. Kristin very much enjoys meeting with clients and hopes to instill confidence in them to make their event exactly what they had envisioned.

    Gloria is currently a Sales Coordinator for Simply Delicious Catering. Her motivation is her precious daughter. She works hardest knowing that she is depending on her.

    Before coming to Simply, Gloria worked for an agricultural chemical company for six years. About a year ago she began working for Simply Delicious as a part time server. Gloria knew she enjoyed her part time job over her full time job, so when she was offered a full time position to do something she loves, she was ecstatic!

    Serving for a year showed Gloria a different side of Simply Delicious. She is now able to bring her experience to the planning process. She always looks for ways to improve efficiency.

    Gloria is excited about the company growing and is honored to be a part of the process.
